New fourth generation 'E' Series loop powered 4-20mA indicators include models for field and panel mounting in both safe and hazardous locations. The latest LCD technology enables full 4-digit readout with up to 34mm high numerals, or 5-digit readout with up to 29mm numerals plus a bargraph. High contrast and wide viewing angles provide good visibility under adverse lighting conditions, and a wide operating temperature range satisfies worldwide environmental needs.
Products
Name: 4/20mA Loop powered rate totalisers
Description: Intrinsically safe and general purpose rate totalisers that will calculate and display rate and total flow in engineering units. All parameters are fully adjustable allowing these instruments to be used with almost any pulse and 4/20mA output flowmeter.
Details:
A new range of field and panel mounting Rate Totalisers with large easy to read displays that can simultaneously show the rate of flow and total flow in the same or different engineering units. All have an operating temperature of -40°C to +70°C and include a square root extractor, sixteen segment lineariser and internal calibrator. Optional accessories include a backlight that may be loop or separately powered and dual alarms with isolated solid state outputs.
In addition to general purpose models, versions are available with FM and cFM, ATEX, IECEx, intrinsic safety certification permitting installation in gas and dust hazardous areas. For lower risk Zone 2 or 22 applications, field mounting models with Ex nA and Ex tc approval permit installation without the need for Zener barriers or galvanic isolators which significantly reduces installation cost.
Included and optional features provide internal calibration source, alarm outputs, display backlighting, linerarization, square root extraction, and tare calculation.
Intrinsically safe versions have FM approval for both the U.S. and Canada, plus ATEX for Europe, and IECEx for other international destinations. The FM approval includes use as non-incendive devices in Division 2 locations in current-limited loops without the need for a safety barrier. Similarly, Type nA models are ATEX and IECEx certified for use in Zone 2 locations.
All Beka indicators are calibrated to customer requirements free of charge and can be labeled to show units of measurement, tag number, and application.
