CS Unitec Introduces Trelawny™ Line of Surface Preparation Equipment for Metal and Concrete
CS Unitec, Inc. has introduced Trelawny(TM) surface preparation equipment to its extensive line of power tools for construction and industry. Ideal for use on metal, concrete and masonry, these pneumatic tools are designed to remove paint, coatings, rust and adhesives. The line includes Hand-held scarifiers and peening prep tools, floor scarifiers, needle scalers/chisel scalers, hand-held and walk-behind concrete scabblers and more. The Trelawny triple-head scaling hammers efficiently remove thick scale, heavy corrosion and hard coatings. Three Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) pistons produce 9000 blows per minute. Applications include pipes, ship decks, oil platforms, storage tanks and bridge structures. CS Unitec also offers a vibration reduced, single-head tool as part of their new line of scaling hammers. For larger surface areas, the multi-headed, ScaleForce11 pneumatic deck hammer produces over 33,000 light blows per minute and is easily transportable. A low profile allows this deck hammer to work under pipes and other constructions with just 6" clearance. CS Unitec offers a series of low-vibration needle scalers and chisel scalers designed for all surfaces - metal and masonry - to remove coatings, corrosion and other accumulated materials. These tools are ideal for irregular surfaces that are otherwise difficult to prepare. Low-vibration models are lightweight, easy-to-handle pneumatic units that provide up to 3000 blows per minute. The Trelawny tools are available with an optional dust shroud. When attached to a dust extraction system such as CS Unitec's CS 1225 or CS 1435, the dust shroud removes dust and other hazardous particles more safely, providing a cleaner working environment. The new KAV 30 Air is an air-powered dust collection vacuum that is ATEX classified for use in Ex Gas Zone 2 and Dust Zone 22. Description: CS Unitec's Copper Beryllium impact sockets are ideal for EX/ATEX zones requiring a high level of safety. These Non-sparking impact sockets are specifically designed to eliminate the risk of sparks at sites where explosive atmospheres may be present.

CS Unitec's Non-sparking Impact Sockets are manufactured from a Copper-Beryllium alloy that eliminates the risk of sparks at sites where explosive atmospheres may be present. The impact sockets meet OSHA and ATEX regulations for safe use in Ex Zones where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors & liquids (Zones 0, 1, 2) or dust (Zones 20, 21, 22) may be present. In addition to non-sparking, these impact sockets are corrosion-resistant. Impact sockets are offered in square drives of 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2". They are available with socket sizes from 1/4" up to 4". Appropriate applications include oil drilling platforms, petrochemical plants, oil refineries, natural gas installations, mining & other industries where non-sparking safety tools are required. CS Unitec’s Trelawny™ Vibro-Lo™ VL Series of needle scalers are lightweight, easy-to-handle pneumatic units that provide up to 3000 blows per minute with 7x less vibration than traditional needle scalers. Other applications include chipping, weld dressing and brick/stone cleaning. The dust shroud maintains worksite / environment cleanliness when the tool is attached to a vacuum system. The Vibro-Lo™ VL Series with dust shroud includes 3 models: The VL223-139.2103 inline model is equipped with 19 needles. Models VL203-139.2003 and VL303-139.3003 are designed with a pistol grip and have 19 and 28 needles, respectively. Non-sparking Copper Beryllium needles are available for use in potentially hazardous environments. The scalers operate at a max. of 5.5 CFM of air and a max. vibration level of 2.75 m/s2. CS Unitec also offers chisel scaler conversion kits, long-reach chisel/needle scalers and dust collection vacuums.

The eleven piston heads of CS Unitec’s pneumatic deck hammer provides 33,000 blows per minute to fracture and reduce scale, corrosion and thick coatings. SF11 Model 159.5925 is fitted with a dust shroud to reduce airborne particles when attached to an industrial vacuum system, providing a cleaner working environment. Ideal for use on ship decks, tank bottoms, bridge decks and more, the SF11 significantly increases surface preparation productivity when used ahead of grit blasting to break down coatings. Cruciform taper-fit piston heads are supplied standard. Spark-resistant beryllium copper heads are available for use in hazardous areas. The low body profile and adjustable handle of this deck hammer enables access under pipes and other constructions to 6” and up to 5/8” from edges. The SF11 consumes 70 CFM of air at 90 PSI. The tool has a vibration level of 5.76 m/s2 and noise level of 113.1 db(A).
