Products
Name: The CamGT 4V300 Final Filter
Description: The industry leader in final stage high efficiency barrier/compact filter (V-Bank) in humid conditions is redesigned for maximal performance in the harshest conditions
Details:
For static system, we recommend our high capacity compact filter CamGT. The CamGT has a patented construction with open hot melt separators allowing water to drain freely, making the filter an excellent choice in humid and wet conditions. The robust design and large filter area used ensures high efficiency, increased dust holding capacity and low pressure drop over time. The Cam GT is available in (H)EPA grades.
Name: Cam-Flo GT for high velocity systems
Description: Our new bag filter, Cam-Flo GT, has a composite media with higher dust holding capacity and is used as the primary filter stage. The Cam-Flo GT is an inlet filter for gas turbines, compressors and diesel engines in high velocity air inlet systems.
Details:
The Cam-Flo GT is an inlet filter for gas turbines, compressors and diesel engines in high velocity air inlet systems. It has a dual layer filter media which increases the dust holding capacity and extends filter life. The synthetic media has excellent mechanical strength. It can operate in temperatures up to 70°C/158°F and 100% RH.
Name: The CamCube
Description: The CamCube is a coarse filter that is installed downstream of the Cam-Flo GT, allowing online filter replacement thus reducing costly downtime.
Details:
The Cam-Flo GT has a much higher efficiency than the CamCube and during regular operation, the Cam-Flo GT will prevent any dust from loading the CamCube. Only during online filter change of the Cam-Flo GT will the CamCube be challenged with dust, leading to an extended filter life for the CamCube. This leads to longer intervals between forced shut downs due to final filter replacement.
Press Releases
New Camfil filter solution extends service intervals in high velocity air inlet systems for gas turbines
Gas turbines operating in offshore and marine installations and equipped with high velocity air inlet systems are in many cases suffering from high pressure drop, corrosion and rapid engine degradation leading to extensive maintenance. These shortcomings are mainly a result of poor filter performance due to the high air-to-media ratio. This limits dust holding capacity and filtration efficiency leading to shorter intervals between service stops.
Camfil has developed two new filter products which in combination offer a better solution for these types of installations. The new bag filter, Cam-Flo GT, has a composite media with higher dust holding capacity and is used as the primary filter stage. The CamCube is a coarse filter that is installed downstream of the Cam-Flo GT, allowing online filter replacement thus reducing costly downtime.
Unique composite media
The Cam-Flo GT is an inlet filter for gas turbines, compressors and diesel engines in high velocity air inlet systems. It has a newly developed dual layer filter media. First - and second stage filtration in one combination increases the dust holding capacity and extends filter life. The synthetic media has excellent mechanical strength, which makes it a perfect match for gas turbine operations, especially in areas where considerations for high humidity and/or turbulence is important. It can operate in temperatures up to 70°C/158°F and 100% RH.
Maximum surface use
The V-shaped pockets inhibit contact between the bags and distribute the air evenly over the filter area, utilizing the entire filter surface. This serves to optimize airflow and minimize operational pressure drop. To ensure performance even at higher than average airflow, the filters are made of a special stainless steel frame for maximum strength and reinforcements which are located between the bags to ensure the filter´s stability and shape.
CamCube reduces downtime
The CamCube is a coarse filter that is installed downstream of the Cam-Flo GT, allowing online filter replacement thus reducing costly downtime.
The Cam-Flo GT/Camcube combination is therefore your filter of choice for high velocity systems in high humidity applications.
The main benefits are:
• Higher power output
• Less maintenance
• Extended turbine life
• Reduced life cycle costs

The new CamGT 4V300 - Setting the standard for high efficiency barrier filtration
Introduced more than a decade ago, found in a large number of gas turbine applications around the world, the CamGT has become a trendsetter in the industry, recognized for its high performance at low pressure drop in humid conditions. To meet increasing demands for performance and power output, we have upgraded the CamGT with a new extra strong air tight frame and a new technique for fixing the media to the frame, the double seal.
CamGT USPs: Solid, air tight and resistant to humidity
Cam GT’s large filter surface is based on Camfil Farr’s own construction featuring vertical pleats, hot melt separators and polyurethane seal. The filter media packs bonded to the inner surface of a robust plastic frame to eliminate any potential bypass and withstand the often severe pressure fluctuations encountered in turbo machinery applications. For additional integrity, aerodynamic cross members are added to air exit sides. With the molded polyurethane gasket permanently fixed to the filter frame, the filter installation is simplified and the risk for filter media damage and leakage is limited.
The vertical pleats and open separators allow trapped water to drain freely from the filter during operation, thus avoiding re-entrainment of dissolved impurities and maintaining low pressure drop under high humidity conditions.
The importance of being air tight
A key problem in gas turbine air filtration is bypass air, a condition where air flows through the system without passing through the filter media. Bypass occurs when filter media is not properly sealed in the filter frame or when filters are not properly installed with gasket in filter racks. Gas turbines are often located in harsh environments and filters are exposed to high velocity winds in combination with humidity. If the media is not securely bonded to a solid frame there is a risk for the media to bulge and even burst. Micrometer size leakages allow unfiltered air to enter the turbine and bring harmful coarse particles causing erosion and blade fouling. Bypass air can cause fouling of blades, which can increase operating costs through inefficient operation and increased maintenance.
Even small gaps can have a surprising effect on filter performance. For example, a 1 mm gap in the installation of a F9/MERV 15 filter can reduce its efficiency to F8/MERV 14. Because higher efficiency filters also typically have a higher pressure drop, bypass tends to have a larger effect on high performance filters. The smallest bypass flow occurs when a filter is clean and can increase by as much as 10 percent when filters are dirty.
Based on Camfil Farr’s long experience and extensive research around high efficiency and HEPA filtration, the new 4V300 frame and the double sealing was developed (patent pending).
New features on the CamGT 4V300:
· Media packs enclosed in a new solid frame with proven construction based on the Camfil Farr’s long experience with Hepa filtration.
· The media is bonded to the inner surface of the frame with a double seal of polyurethane.
· For additional integrity, aerodynamic cross members are added to air exit sides.
· Each filter grade has individualized media area in order to find the right balance between efficiency and air resistance. A CamGT E10 has increased the filter area by 50% (from 19 to 29 m2)
· The filter is tested for 6250 Pa continuous pressure (contrary to the blast wave test a continuous pressure test is more similar to real life conditions where the filter is exposed to high velocity 24/7)
· Patent pending construction
