Deepsea was a short-lived holding company created by Odfjell Drilling and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The main asset of the company was the bare-deck hull of the under-construction Deepsea Stavanger drilling rig. The Bergen, Norway based company was created in 1996 and in 1997 the company was delisted after acquisition by Marine Drilling.[1][2] The company was renamed Marine Drilling ASA and the bare-deck hull was renamed and used for building MARINE 700 drilling rig.[2]
