Flowline

Flowline or Flow line is a pipe, laid on the seabed or onshore, that allows the transportation of oil/gas production or injection of fluids between wells and production facilities. Its length can vary from a few hundred meters to several kilometers.

Flowline design includes material selection, pressure rating, coating, corrosion allowance, ovality, welding procedure, etc.

Maintenance

For carbon steel flowline, corrosion inhibitor is typically injected into the production fluids to prevent flowline corrosion.
