Fluids processing system description
Usually, we set shale shaker as the fluids processing system beginning. The whole circulation system for drilling fluids including shale shaker, mud cleaner or hydrocyclone separators, centrifuge, pumps, agitator, mud tanks, and so on
The fluids processing system will get rid of drilling solids from coarse to extra fine; from the sand to the colloidal. Fluids processing system is not only to separate drilled solids from bore hole, but also to recycle the useful material and maintain drilling mud property by feeding chemical or additives. The density, viscosity, gravity, and so on should be controlled well by fluids system
Fluids system equipment and procedure
Shale shaker is the first equipment in solids control system. However, the poor boy degasser will be the very start ahead of shaker to process invaded large quantity gas. After shale shaker, we'll set vacuum degasser as the gas separator for better purification in whole fluids system. Vacuum degasser is kindly suggest be operated while we drill well as 3000m or deeper.
After vacuum degasser, we set desander separator, desilter separator, or the mud cleaner combined desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shaker. Theoretically, drilling fluid after processed by desilter cones hold solids or particles smaller than 15 microns. Then we'll operate 4th phase solids control equipment-Decanter centrifuge for finer separation-2~7microns.
During whole system operation, we need more usable drilling fluid. Including liquid, solid, additives. We need agitation, blending, compounding for good drilling mud. The auxiliary equipment to do so including mud agitators, mixing hopper pump, mud guns and so on.
Agitators and mud guns are fitted in all compartment except shaker tank. The mixing pump will help us get the proper drilling fluid very soon. Mud mixing gun is an assistant mixing device. It also can transfer drilling mud between compartments. We usually set agitator and mud guns together for better agitation effect
