First petroMaster for slop oil treatment in practical operation
The first petroMaster decanter from the new ecoforce generation of GEA Westfalia
Separator Group is in practical application in Australia. With excellent results. A recycling company is using the three-phase decanter for the treatment of slop oil. The company has already placed an order for a second decanter of the same series for a further greenfield project. Previously, the company had used static sedimentation for pre-treating the slop oil. In order to improve the efficiency of the process and also to recover a higher percentage of the oil, the disposal company has now replaced the sedimentation solution with the three-phase decanter. The results have been convincing. The petroMaster CF 4000 used with a capacity of 6000 litres per hour delivers excellent discharge figures, particularly in view of the fact that these figures are attained without the usual addition of chemicals.
summationdrive reduces energy consumption The three-phase decanter of the new ecoforce series combines high performance with low energy consumption. Together with the decanter configuration in featuring the super pond depth design, the integrated summationdrive ensures that energy consumption has been reduced by a further 30 percent. A further major aspect of the new generation is the fully automatic differential speed adjustment as well as the low space requirement.
Following successful commissioning of the first petroMaster CF 4000 with ist convincing price-performance ratio, the company placed an order with GEA Westfalia Separator Group for a second machine for a greenfield project. In addition, the follow-up order included a disk-type centrifuge for polishing the oil phase and one for polishing the water phase. These machines are centrifuges from the Eagle Class series. Further fields of application for the petroMaster decanter of the new ecoforce series include the treatment of coal tar, drilling mud and drainage water on drilling vessels and drilling platforms.
Products
Name: GEA Westfalia Separator CrudeMaster
Description: The GEA Westfalia Separator CrudeMaster is the most economical machine on the market in terms of the achievable high-capacity output per footprint on e.g. FPSOs
Details:
The GEA Westfalia Separator CrudeMaster is the most economical machine on the market in terms of the achievable high-capacity output per footprint on e.g. FPSOs. GEA Westfalia Separator Group offers the perfect concept to dewater even heavy crude oils of up to API 13. Besides the water, solids and water-soluble salts are likewise reliably separated. With up to 30,000 barrels per day, the CrudeMaster attains the highest available capacity on the market. Due to the high g-force, there is also no or small need for the use of chemicals.
Name: GEA Westfalia Separator eagleclass
Description: Separators and decanters are used for dewatering and desalinating crude oil, processing contaminated drilling suspensions and sludges or de-oiling produced water before it is recycled back into the sensitive ocean ecosystem.

The Oilfield Guardian – GEA Westfalia Separator eagleclass
With throughput capacities of up to 80 m³ h, the separators and decanters are used for dewatering and desalinating crude oil, processing contaminated drilling suspensions and sludges or de-oiling produced water before it is recycled back into the sensitive ocean ecosystem. The GEA Westfalia Separator eagleclass, has been designed using the modular principle. The separators can thus be assembled more rapidly, are able to operate immediately and offer the benefit of low maintenance.
Name: GEA Westfalia Separator ecoforce
Description: The new decanter series GEA Westfalia Separator ecoforce works at the top of its class, is low maintenance, and has a service life record second to none.
Details:
The new decanter of GEA Westfalia Separator ecoforce for the offshore industry: petroMaster CF 4000
Highest performance and maximum availability in all application: the new decanter series GEA Westfalia Separator ecoforce works at the top of its class, is low maintenance, and has a service life record second to none. It saves energy, water and operating costs but not at the expense of robustness and endurance. High separating efficiency and throughput capacities have never before been so reliably available and sustainable.
