Hänel Storage Systems joins OTC as new exhibitor in 2013.
Hänel Storage Systems is proud to announce that they will be exhibiting for the first time at OTC 2013. Hänel manufactures automated vertical storage systems that are used in a variety of industries and applications related to the energy industry. "While you won't find Hänel products on any offshore platforms yet, we work with the suppliers of just about every other piece of equipment out there" said David Schneider, Marketing Manager for Hänel. "From the helicopter that ferries the crew in to the drill bits that go downhole, there is a good chance that the parts came out of a Hänel storage unit." All Hänel storage units are based on the principle of "goods to the user". By storing vertically, Hänel saves floor space that can be used for other, more profitable uses. This eliminates the need for off-site storage, relocation or new construction. By automating the pick/place operation, productivity and accuracy are greatly increased while costs and worker fatigue are reduced. Originally designed for office filing applications, it has been in continual production ever since. Still popular for file storage, the Rotomat product line has expanded into commercial and industrial applications, including heavy-duty storage and secure storage. In the early 1990's, the Rotomat was joined by the Lean-Lift® Vertical Lift Module. Using a series of pans to store inventory, the Lean-Lift offers more flexibility and better space utilization when inventories are ever-changing in size and shape. By automatically measuring the height of stored items, the Lean-Lift maximizes available space each time a pan is stored. Hänel offers advanced controllers that provide comprehensive inventory management without the need for a separate PC, as well as HänelSoft software for control of multiple units with advanced management functions.
