Details:
Diffusion bonded heat exchangers are 4 to 6 times smaller and lighter than shell & tube exchangers of equivalent duty. They have a pressure capability in excess of 14,000 psi (965 bar) and can withstand temperatures from cryogenic to 1800°F (980°C). Very high thermal effectiveness can be achieved of over 98% in a single exchanger. More than 2 process streams can be incorporated allowing further space and weight savings and a reduction in piping and valve requirements.
The compact design also enables a significant reduction in the size of over-pressure relief system piping.
