Custom Flowmeters for Complex Subsea Applications
Hoffer Flow Controls’ HO Series Subsea turbine flowmeters provide flow measurement solutions for demanding subsea environments. Designed to operate in depths of 20,000 FT or more, the HO Series Subsea is a fit for complex applications involving BOPs, ROVs, wellhead additives, subsea production systems, and a variety of other subsea flow applications. Built to order per required specifications, the “housing” on the HO Series Subsea flowmeters is typically custom designed to fit into the customer’s existing footprint/space. Internally, the Subsea Series is built with long-lasting, durable components meeting military standards for high shock (MIL-S-901D) and vibrations (MIL-STD-167-1). HO Series flowmeters for subsea applications can be designed and constructed to meet most compliance standards including API6A/17D).
API Series Custody Transfer Turbine Flow Meters 1”-4” Bladed Rotors
The Hoffer API Series turbine flowmeters provide extremely accurate custody transfer grade flow measurement in a bladed rotor design. The API Series is available with bladed rotors in sizes 1”-4” and is typically used to measure liquid petroleum products.
The API series turbine flowmeters from Hoffer Flow Controls are specifically designed with custody transfer in mind. These durable flowmeters provide extremely accurate flow rate measurement and dependable service as required for custody transfer of liquid petroleum products. The API series flowmeters are available with ceramic hybrid ball bearings and tungsten sleeve bearings. Life of the bearings is extended by hydrodynamically balanced rotors which “float” on a cushion of fluid. These flowmeters are constructed of rugged 316 stainless steel except for the blade rotors which is 17-4 PH stainless steel.Optional carbon steel or 304 stainless steel flanges per ASME/ANSI B16.5 are available.
Linearity is ±0.25% over normal flow range. Repeatability is ±0.02% at any point throughout the extended flow range. These meters’ temperature range with a standard magnetic pickup coil extends from -450° to +450°f. The API series flowmeters are available with bladed rotors in a size range of 1” to 4.Premium linearity of +/- .15% over reduced flow ranges is optionally available.
CT Series Custody Transfer Turbine Flow Meters 4”-12” for Rimmed Rotors
The Hoffer CT Series turbine flowmeters provide extremely accurate custody transfer grade flow measurement in a rim rotor design. These flowmeters are typically used in liquid petroleum products. This series is recommended for flow applications where high resolution (pulse count) is critical in order to achieve custody transfer grade accuracy. The CT Series turbine flowmeters from Hoffer Flow Controls are specifically designed to provide extremely accurate custody transfer grade flow measurement.
The CT Series flowmeters are constructed with a rim rotor design providing high pulse resolution and offered in sizes 4” – 12”. The CT rimmed style meters are designed to be compliant with API Chapter 5.3. Hoffer CT Series custody transfer meters are approved over an impressive flow range of 10: 1.
The CT series flowmeters is available with ceramic hybrid ball bearings and tungsten sleeve bearings. Life of the bearings is extended by hydrodynamically balanced rotors which “float” on a cushion of fluid. These flowmeters are constructed of rugged 316 stainless steel except for the blade rotors (17-4 PH stainless steel) and rim. Optional carbon steel or 304 stainless steel flanges per ASME/ANSI B16.5 are available. Multiple pickup coils for redundancy or bi-directional flow measurement is available.
