Life Cycle Engineering Introduces Critical Asset Performance Standards Service Offering for Oil and Gas Industry
(CHARLESTON, SC, April 30, 2013) - Life Cycle Engineering, Inc. (LCE) today announced a new service that offers companies in the oil and gas industry the development of Critical Asset Performance Standards (CAPS) for greater operational efficiency and safety. Responding to rising environmental and safety regulatory requirements, LCE developed the service to help oil and gas companies identify risks, develop performance standards and create maintenance strategies necessary to ensure the integrity of safety-critical equipment and meet regulatory requirements. “We’re very pleased to announce our new service, which formalizes asset management programs that have evolved over the past 30 years as we worked with oil and gas companies to ensure employee and environmental safety,” said Mike Poland, director of Asset Management Services for LCE’s Reliability Consulting Group. “The service will enable our customers to avoid catastrophic equipment failures that have significant safety, environmental and financial ramifications.” Introduction of the CAPS development service is a result of continued efforts to help oil and gas companies minimize asset management risks to the energy value chain in the areas of equipment reliability and safety. The new service offering comes a year after opening an office in Houston, Texas to better serve the high concentration of oil and gas companies in the region. LCE is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and works with six of the top 10 offshore drilling contractors to help reduce rig downtime and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements set forth by governing agencies such as the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) and the United States Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). The Critical Asset Performance Standards are customized for each client through the identification of major accident events, safety critical elements, performance standards, and associated maintenance tasks. For more information on the Critical Asset Management Performance Standards service offering, visit Life Cycle Engineering’s website. The new service will be presented at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2013, May 6-9, in Houston Texas, in LCE’s booth - number 6130.
