FireMaster® Marine Plus blanket is a new, ultra-lightweight fire insulation from Thermal Ceramics designed for weight sensitive applications. Weight savings of 20 to 30% are typical compared to standard FireMaster 607 Blanket and alternative lightweight solutions. Systems are available for composite, steel and aluminium structures. FireMaster® Marine Plus blanket has received Type Approvals from DNV, as well as approvals under the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED) for a wide range of steel, aluminum and composite fire-rated bulkhead and deck constructions, and is an excellent choice for bulkhead and deck fire protection on offshore platforms. The product is also an excellent acoustic and thermal insulator.
