Oilfield Technical Inspection Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian company founded in 2005. OTI is primarily engaged in Non-Destructive Testing, QA & QC in offshore pipeline industry. The cumulative NDT experience of OTI personnel is over 600 man-years.
OTI’s major strength in the formative years has been its capability to design, build, manufacture, service and maintain its own fleet of x-ray crawlers. Offshore pipeline NDT has taken OTI from Russian to Nigerian waters. With the current resources for conventional NDT, OTI can perform work concurrently on eight (8) barges. OTI has also commenced Automated Ultrasonic Testing of offshore pipelines and has completed testing of about 300 km with the acquisition of GE Weldstar Hybrid Systems. Currently OTI can cater AUT Services to 2 barges concurrently. The qualification and validation of the system were carried out in accordance with DNV OS-F101, under the supervision of Det Norske Veritas. Manual encoded phased array ultrasonic testing has also been implemented, and complements manual ultrasonic testing.
The future plan is to strengthen these capabilities and also look at new areas including plant maintenance inspection and testing. OTI has plans to establish bases beyond Malaysia or work with local companies. OTI invites all serious companies to join hands with for a mutually beneficial association.
OTI lays emphasis on environmental protection and preservation. OTI is certified to ISO 9001 : 2008.
