Russneft is a Russian oil refining company and one of the largest producers of oil products in the country.[1]

The company operates two refineries in Orsk and Krasnodar, which have a combined capacity of 217,000 barrels per day (34,500 m3/d), as well as 100 petrol stations. Russneft is also an oil producer, having supplied in 2008 around 14 million tonnes of crude oil, with recoverable reserves of 1.1 billion barrels (170×10^6 m3) of oil and 978 billion cubic feet (27.7×10^9 m3) of natural gas.[2] It also owns an oil terminal with a transit capacity of 7 million tonnes per year.

In addition, Russneft holds a controlling stake in Slavneft, which owns the Mozyr Refinery in Belarus with a capacity of 95,000 bbl/d (15,100 m3/d), and the YaNOS Yaroslavl Refinery with a capacity of 132,000 bbl/d (21,000 m3/d).[3]

In May 2010, the company's major shareholder Mikhail Gutseriyev announced that Russneft and Bashneft will merge in two or three years.[4]
