Shenhua CTL
Shenhua CTL is a planned coal liquefaction plant in Ningdong, Ningxia, China. It will have a capacity of 80,000 barrels per day (13,000 m3/d).[1][2] The liquefaction plant will use a Sasol's indirect liquefaction technology, based on the Fischer–Tropsch process.
The feasibility study will be carried out by Foster Wheeler and Wuhuan Engineering.[3][4] The constriction is to start in October 2010 and it expected to cost US$7 billion.[1] The plant is expected to be operational by 2016.[5] The project is developed by Sasol and Ningxia Coal Industry Group, a subsidiary of Shenhua Group.[1][3][5] The agreement between companies was signed on 21 June 2006.[6]
