Name: Evacuation and Transfer Systems
Description: VIKING’s advanced evacuation systems provide fast and easy evacuation, exceptional stability and are trusted by crews worldwide.
Details:
VIKING offers custom designed evacuation systems with convenient servicing and replacement. Every second counts when abandoning a rig at sea so, it is essential that high capacity life-saving equipment is easy to handle by minimum crew to ensure safe and rapid evacuation of all on board. We also offer complete crew transfer solutions. Together with Lockheed Martin, VIKING recognized the need for increased safety in marine personnel transfers and jointly developed a transfer system consisting of the following 3 components: a Lockheed Martin Sea SLICE® vessel, a Selstair™ collapsible staircase permanently mounted on the oil platform and the Crew Embarkation Way™ (CEWay™) that bridges between the Sea SLICE® and Selstair™. The Selstair™ access system is a deck-to-deck transfer that requires minimum deck space and is stored in a container, when not in use.
Name: Liferafts and Rescue Boats
Description: VIKING has a full range of throw-overboard; davit-launched liferafts as well as standard SOLAS approved Polar liferafts. We can also supply a full MOB Boat or work boat package.
Details:
VIKING self-righting liferafts ensure that no matter how the liferaft inflates in the water it will always right itself ready for boarding. All VIKING Liferafts undergo rough sea trials, wind velocity tests at forces of 30 meters per second and deployment at extremely low temperatures. The standard features of VIKING liferafts include emergency packs as well as liferaft equipment according to SOLAS and flag requirements. The capacity ranges from 6 to 151 persons. VIKING standard SOLAS approved liferafts are the only liferafts on the market designed and tested for Polar conditions in temperatures as low as -50°C. Our MOB Rescue Boat or work boat package includes boat engines, rescue boat davits or combi davits for liferafts and rescue boats as well as SOLAS approved automatic release hooks.
