Expat Tax Manager

Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler are recruiting for an Expat Tax Manager (Americas, Middle East & Africa) to be based at our offices in Knutsford.

The role is a 12 month Fixed term contract.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Global Employment Taxes, oversee the day to day employment tax queries and tax compliance within Americas, Middle East & Africa regions including acting as the focal point for assignees and business operations Manage end to end tax processes in conjunction with Global Mobility teams including focal point for application of tax procedures for assignees relocating from your regions, particularly those retaining ties to N. America home-linked terms Provide cost effective tax advice and support and identify and implement commercial and tax effective strategies Maintain consistency across the Group in the application of tax related policies and procedures Accountable for regional annual compliance, policy interpretation; international employment structuring and related issues arising as a result of cross-border activities Manage and support the development of the junior member of the team in relation to their role accounting for the Group’s global mobility compliance programme and their interface with external tax service providers and Finance and Payroll teams for LINK Enterprise data collection Assist the Head of the team in relation to Group Centre projects Workshops, presentations & training to Group Operations, other Group Functions and cross-border workforce, as appropriate

Skills / Qualifications

Experience and skills required:

Tax professional with Big-4 background. Experience gained in industry an advantage Extensive experience of legislative and regulatory obligations for employment tax practices in your region Excellent project management and presentation skills Strong commercial understanding and able to identify and communicate tax risks and opportunities clearly Good interpersonal skills
