Pros and cons of openhole completion.

In an openhole completion, the production casing is set just above the formation zone and the drilled hole into the formation is uncased.

Advantages

• Maximum pay zone exposure
• Decreased drawdown
• Less formation damage

Disadvantages

• Inability to plug off zones
• Inability to selectively to stimulate
